Troubleshooting

No iCloud on this iPhone

Our People works fine without iCloud — you can add and browse people locally on one iPhone. But sharing with family and keeping a backup both need it. If iCloud isn’t signed in, Settings shows “Sharing needs iCloud…” with a button to open iPhone Settings and sign in. Once you’re signed in, come back to Our People and try sharing again.

Make sure Our People is installed on the phone you’re tapping the link from — the invite only works after the app is on your phone (see Sharing with family). Also check that you’re opening the link on the same iPhone, or with the same Apple ID, that the invite was sent to; it’s tied to that specific phone number or email and won’t open for anyone else.

A photo won’t load

Give it a moment — very large photos can take a few seconds to appear while framing. If it still won’t load, go back and choose a different photo, or try again once you have a better connection.

Someone’s missing after joining

Right after you join a shared library, Browse shows “Getting your family’s people…” while everyone downloads for the first time. This can take a little while depending on how many people are in the library and your connection. If someone’s still missing after that finishes, close the app fully and reopen it to refresh.

“Something went wrong opening your people”

This means Our People had trouble loading your library. Tap Try Again. If it keeps happening, check that iCloud is signed in and connected (Settings → Sharing), then try again.
