Sharing with family

Our People can share one library of faces across everyone’s iPhone, so the whole family is always looking at the same up-to-date list. There are no accounts and no passwords — just an invitation sent through Apple’s own share sheet.

Sending the invite

1. Open Settings and tap Share with family.

   

2. Apple’s share sheet opens. Choose Messages and send the invite to the family member you want to add.

The invite is invite-only: it’s tied to the exact phone number or email address you sent it to. It won’t work for anyone else, even if they get the link some other way.

What the recipient does

1. They install Our People first. The link only works once the app is on their phone.
2. Then they tap the link you sent them, using the same iPhone or Apple ID the invite was addressed to.
3. Their app connects to your shared library.

What each phone shows

• Your phone: nothing changes — you keep adding and editing people as usual, and everyone in the family sees your updates.
• Their phone: right after joining, the Browse screen shows “Getting your family’s people…” while it downloads everyone for the first time. Once the first sync finishes, the full library appears.
